This movie looks like an action movie but it is not. It’s a drama.

Directed by David Mamet, the story is about Mike Terry ( Chiwetel Ejiofor), a Jiu-Jitsu teacher who has avoided the prize fighting circuit. He choose to have an honorable life by operating a self defence studio with a samurai’s code.

Terry and his wife Sondra (Alice Braga) struggle to keep the business running to make the ends meet. Their life change dramatically by an accident on a dark rainy night. This introducing him to a world of promoters and movie star. Face with this, in order to pay off his debts and regain his honor, Terry must step into the ring for the first time in his life.
