The story is about a broken man Peter Breter (Jason Segel) who try to clear his head by making a trip to Oahu Hawaii. This struggling musician man has spent six years idolizing his girlfriend, Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell). Sarah is a television star.
Separate from Sarah really broke Peter down. He realize that he need to forget her by going to beautiful far place. Hawaii.
